Introducing PULSE 17
The latest version of our PULSE analyzer platform brings dedicated
hardware and software for angle domain analysis applications such as crank-angle analysis. PULSE 17 also features new products for telephone testing, sound quality metrics and structural dynamics.

Angle Domain Analysis Type 8740
A post-processing application for analysing sound and vibration in the angle domain. Primarily used in crank-angle analysis of internal combustion engine/powertrain systems, it can also be used to analyse any rotating system where cyclic phenomena need to be investigated.

Telephone Test Type 8770
A new software platform providing a standardised approach to voice testing of telephones in a fast, reliable and efficient way, combining real-time and post-processing analysis. By using a proper network simulator, the full receive-and-transmit signal paths are measured, giving realistic measurements of telephone performance.

Sound Quality Metrics Type 8710
Adds sound quality metrics calculations to PULSE Reflex Basic Processing Type 8702. Two specialised process chain elements calculate overall metric values/spectra or metric values/spectra vs. time.

Reflex Correlation Analysis Type 8722
Enables complete correlation analysis between two modal models, whether they are Finite Element (FE)models or physical test models. This helps evaluate different test and modelling strategies, identify shortcomings in modal tests, identify areas of insufficient modelling quality, and define targets and variables for model updating.

Reflex Abaqus® Interface Type 8718-C
The interface enables import of large Abaqus® FE models into PULSE Reflex Modal Analysis and PULSE Reflex Correlation Analysis. The imported models can be used for test planning and/or model correlation.

Array acoustic options
The applicability of Beamforming Type 8608 has been increased with the addition of two dedicated moving-source beamforming options: one for road vehicles and one for rail vehicles. For in-cabin applications there are three new options: panel contribution, intensity component analysis and in situ absorption.

Indoor pass-by noise testing
In PULSE 17, indoor pass-by testing is fully implemented to comply with the new standard for indoor pass-by conformance testing, and includes a tyre-noise correction option. Exterior noise contribution analysis is a new option which isolates dominant sound sources such as the engine, transmission, intake/exhaust system, and tyre noise. A validation function has been added to the user-interface for the various shapes of measurement validation available.

Auxiliary input module - LAN-XI Type 3056
The module offers a combination of four input channels (51.2 kHz) with eight simultaneously sampled low-frequency auxiliary channels. Unique to this module is the support of high-speed tacho signals on input channels 1-4, which enables recording of the signals needed to perform angle-domain analysis using PULSE Reflex Type 8740.

LAN-XI front panel family
The detachable front panels on LAN-XI modules allow them to be easily and quickly adapted to the required transducers or connectors, providing unique flexibility. The latest additions are UA-2111 - the 12-channel default front panel for the new LAN-XI Type 3056 auxiliary module, and UA-2110 - an auxiliary front panel with 200V microphone inputs.

PULSE Generic Auxiliary Digital Interface (GADI)
GADI allows integration of process data that are already available in a digital format, and streaming to LabShop applications. Here they appear as auxiliary data and can be used in a similar way to analogue auxiliary data such as temperature, oil pressure, and wind speed.
